From September 2007, you will receive, with each box of 10 Sterilised Individuals Eye Wash, (SIEW), carrying cases in order to be able to carry the SIEW at the belt.
These "holsters" are freely provided with each new bought SIEW box, so that wearing the SIEW at the belt does not represent an additional cost and thus, the protocol recommended by PREVOR is correctly applied.

The SIEW, with a capacity of 50ml, was designed for the mobile staff, which cannot have collective eyewash station at disposal and which is exposed to the risk of chemical splashes*.

Weared directly by the operator, the SIEW makes it possible to use the first emergency washing, within the 10 first seconds.

Some examples :

• Minor, working in galleries,
• Maintenance operator,
• Mobile operator on a chemical plant,
• Industrial cleaning personnel from outside agencies etc…

Protocol of use of the SIEW :

• In the event of chemical splash, use a SIEW within the 10 seconds following the splash as a first rinsing.
• Let run the totality of the liquid on the open eye.
• Consult a specialist in order to control if the washing was correctly carried out.

If necessary (when washing is initiated after 10 seconds or in the case of a viscous product for example), the washing can be continued with a bottle of 500ml of DIPHOTERINE® solution.

The SIEW contains 50ml of DIPHOTERINE® solution, an active solution of washing for any kind of chemical exposure, excluded hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives. In these cases use HEXAFLUORINE® solution.

*: wearing a SIEW does not exempt the staff person from wearing of safety goggles or any other facial protection.
