Date: 2010 - Type of dangerous product: Sulfuric acid 87%

Sulfuric acid splash at the forearm and on the top of both feet. The operator removed immediately his clothes and rushed to the emergency shower.
The first aid manager came on the accident site and the forearms were immediately rinsed with the DIPHOTERINE® solution sprays (4 MINI DAP).
The washing with the DIPHOTERINE® solution was prolonged because it was a delayed washing. No DIPHOTERINE® solution was applied on the feet and the feet remained painful, immediately after the incident, whereas no pain was felt on the forearms. After 3 weeks, the forearms lesions almost disappeared whereas some little scars will be kept on feet.
The chemical transfer area is now equipped with an eyewash wall-station (LMDAS) of DIPHOTERINE® solution.
