Dear Madam,

In April 1989, after an accident with sulphuric acid splashed on the face of one employee, we have decided, after several trials, to use systematically the product called Diphotérine®, marketed by the Prevor company.

We precise that at this time, we were considered as a pilot plant for the use of this new product.

Since this period, all the employees working in the risky sectors where a splash with acid solution is possible, are individually equipped with Diphotérine® sprays. In addition, each work shop is equipped with Autonomous Portable Showers (DAP).

Since this date, we have noticed in our Medical Department a significant decrease of accident declarations due to splashes with H2SO4, as the employees use systematically the sprays.

In addition, as regards to serious accidents, it must be noted that the use of this product as a first aid entailed a decrease of the seriousness of the burns as well as the possible after effects due to this kind of accident.
