As water does not permit a good polyvalent decontamination, it is important to use specialised solutions such as 25% DPTA or Diphotérine®. Even if Diphotérine® has very light inferior capacities compared to 25% DPTA, Diphotérine® obtains good results for the decontamination of radioactive elements (U, Cs, Sr) thanks to its chelating and hypertonic properties. Its additional advantages such as its polyvalence for the treatment of chemical burns or its possible use in the eye provide it with unquestionable advantages.
